The Major Museums discovery trail

Since you would need more than one visit to see them all, here is a selection of several major museums that tell the story of our region through its major names.

A number of key museums are to be found in Toulouse. These include the Hôtel d'Assézat, the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain des Abattoirs, the Musée des Augustins, the Musée d'Histoire Naturelle and the Musée Saint-Raymond.
But there are many other major towns of art and culture in Midi-Pyrénées. Albi houses the Musée Toulouse-Lautrec; Castres has a Goya Museum; Montauban celebrates its status as birthplace of Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres; Rodez is proud of its Musée Fenaille; Cahors boasts a Musée Henri Martin based in the former Bishops' Palace; Figeac explores the written word at the Musée des Ecritures...
